Started in the 19th century by Timothy Eaton as a dry goods store based in Toronto, Ontario. Over the century, it has turned into the largest department store chain in the whole of Canada. In the 1960’s, the store announced plans to construct a massive shopping complex. The first phase opened in 1977, after the original Eaton’s store was demolished.
