Do you know those gorgeous old Chinese paintings which you always see being hung on the walls? Those with vast mountains and pretty, white mist surrounding them? Yup, that’s what I’m talking about.
I used to look at those paintings and think “wow, this could never be for real.” That was the case until I visited Guilin for the first time and discovered that those paintings were more than just a mere fantasy.
Guilin is considered one of the most beautiful places in China. It has gained worldwide prestige for its incomparably transcendent scenery complete with green hills, jagged cliffs and crystalline waters.
However, Guilin does not only consist of beautiful scenic points, it also offers a wide variety of outdoor activities, shopping districts and places to eat.
